In this post I will share how to empty the Recycle Bin automatically in Windows startup. The Recycle Bin is the kind of underrated feature that we take for granted by now. It gives you a second chance to save files that you might accidentally delete.

Auto Recycle Bin is a free program that you can use to empty the Recycle Bin on Windows startup. When configured, the program runs automatically on Windows startup, emptying the Recycle Bin and also closing itself when finished.
You can also set how long you want to keep files in the Recycle Bin. Once the file passes that time frame, it will be permanently deleted on the next bootup. Apart from that, you can also check the space used by deleted files for each disk partition and change the largest file size for Recycle Bin for each partition.
How to Empty the Recycle Bin Automatically
To empty the Recycle Bin automatically at Windows startup, download and install the Auto Recycle Bin program on your PC (download link is at the end of this article). After installation, when you run the program, it lists all your disk partitions and shows the space used by the Recycle Bin for each partition. You can select a disk partition from the left and check the maximum size and total free space of that partition.
Just below the partition statistics, you get the option to specify the time interval for deleted files. By default, it is set to 30 days and you can change it as per your wish. If you set it to 30 days, the deleted files stay in the Recycle Bin and can be deleted automatically when the files cross the limit or are more than 30 days.
If you want to set the maximum size of the Recycle Bin, you can do it for each partition. You can do it by simply entering the right size or by selecting the storage percentage.
To enable emptying the Recycle Bin automatically at Windows startup, open this program’s Settings from the bottom left corner. Settings gives you the option to choose how you want this program to empty the Recycle Bin. Select the “On Windows OS startup” option and save the settings. From now on, whenever you start your PC, this program will automatically empty the Recycle Bin. If you have set a date for automatic deletion, then only delete files that have passed the date.
