How to Record Meetings Automatically on Zoom.| Recording a meeting on Zoom is pretty easy. Once you join the call, click on the Record button at the bottom of the screen. Before we discuss how to set up automatic recording on Zoom, we need to understand how Zoom recording works. There are 3 important things about recording Zoom meetings:
- Zoom can record meetings locally or in the cloud. Paid cloud recording and free local recording.
- The Zoom app for Android and iOS cannot record meetings locally. Hence, in the free version, you cannot record the meeting on Zoom Android and iOS apps.
- By default, only the host or hosts can record meetings. Participants must seek Allow Record permission to be able to record the meeting.
How to Record Meetings Automatically on Zoom
If you record meetings frequently, we recommend creating a meeting with automatic recording. To do that, click the button Schedule in the Zoom app.
Now, on the meeting schedule window, navigate to the bottom and click on Advanced options.
From the expanded menu, check and tick on automatically record meeting on the local computer. This will ensure that as soon as the meeting starts, it is recorded.
After the meeting ends, Zoom will open the location where the recording is stored. Apart from that, you can also access your recordings in the tab Meetings.
Where does Zoom store footage?
By default, Zoom creates a local folder under Documents to store recordings. You can access the same or change it under the Record tab in Zoom Settings.
